My Mission Report And Last Email

Image
I cannot express in one email the amount of love and support I have had from you all. Especially a particular few, my Mom and Dad!! Along with my family, friends, and new acquaintances I've made on the mission. As I sit on the plan ride home I have grown a testimony that God loves and supports all of His children! It's marvelous to think that the 100,000's of thousands of people that I see as I am in the plane are taken care of by our Heavenly Father. I know I've done a great work here but the best is yet to come and God will continue with eternity to take care of all of the people in Vancouver Washington. That place, the WVM, I didn't think could have such an influence on who I am now. I will forever see the great WVM (Washington Vancouver Mission) as a second home for me. Coming out on a mission was hard, mysterious and good. Returning home is a sense of accomplishment, growth and duty to go forward with all I know now in order to make life of my own by creating a...

Last Week Ahead!

Image
Good day! I am so grateful for this week. I hope you know to be grateful too! There's not to much to report. We had success with bringing our new friends Jeff to church and he loved it! He has become our best friend. We like to talk about how his garden is doing along with the Jeep he bought as his 1st project car! Our other friend Jaime has continued to progress and I feel like crying knowing I am leaving these friends. They are both grateful to continue having more missionaries visit and they want me to go see family! I am thankful for my family and couldn't be more excited to see them soon. I'll do my best to give a big report next week on my mission and the area I am serving in. May God be with you all this week and now. See you next time. You are invited to my homecoming talk on the 23rd! Sacrament starts at 9 am. There will be a small lunch after too. Happy 4th Of July!

Image
We just had a good 4th of July! I hope today was well for you and if it didn't go well then please just know that you can rejoice knowing that America is the home of the brave and land of the free! Here we can have peace and God's promised blessings. Of course God loves all his children but what a wonderful added measure of His love here in America, we can worship however we wish! We can live and embrace true doctrine!! Now for my week. We had success getting friends to church! This was wonderful. Sen, Amy and Jaime all came. Sen especially loved it! It's her first time worshiping in a Jesus centered church. She remembers learning of Jesus Christ when she was in her Childhood but has since been moving and bombarded by so many other things that have kept her from receiving more about Jesus christ. She now learns of him and cries thinking about Him. She is amazing. I'd share more but that I feel suffices for this week. I love you all so much. Have a good night.  Elder Cal...

Baseball!!

Hey everyone. I miss and love you. There are plenty of fun things to share with you from this week. We got to go to the temple, have a make up party (I'll explain later in the email, haha), Zone Conference and more.  The temple was great. We get to go quarterly and that really strengthens me. The members take really good care of us by helping us go to the temple and we usually are fed after :):)  The make up party, haha. My dad is probably a little anxious about this. We are teaching a part-member family and the wife (a non-member) started a Mary Kay business and we wanted to support her by going to her grand opening. This is only because she said there was snacks there and men's stuff too. I got some cologne for the ladies when I return home, now I am sure my dad is not anxious reading this but excited, haha. Love you dad.  Zone conference was great as we got to learn strongly about Jesus Christ. It was my favorite part to hear the singing missionaries that have great ta...

The Highlight Was Exchanges This Week

Image
We have had many emails, only 4 more after this! I hope this week was well for each of you. I'll start with the good and end with the good in this email. Basically exchanges were key this week in the work. Exchanges are where we switch companions for the day within a companionship. This week I got to be with my Trainy, Elder Kistemann and another good missionary named Elder Shipely. When I was with Elder Kistemann we got to eat with my moms parents and my uncle! It was so good! It taught me a lot and showed me how much they love me because they drove 5+ hours round trip to say hi. I love them. It was great for Elder Kistemann too. He loved the personality of each person and was grateful for such good food we had on the Columbia River! I was emotionally drained after that and had a headache all the rest of the day, haha. It will certainly be an adjustment coming home. Following that we got to find about 4 new friends to teach, all of which are exactly what we look for I'm friend...

I'll Tell You About My Week

Image
I keep hearing new and wonderful things from you all. There is a lot of changes happening all the time, weather for good or bad. I hope you each know that God's love for you cannot be removed. Use him in your life to grow, be guided, and have answers.  Monday was wonderful! We went to the temple with our friend Jaime! He loved it and we learned a lot about him there along with him learning a lot about God. He should have a date in the next month or two for baptism. Shout out to my cousin Elder Daxton Green for having his friend on date over in Japan! Tuesday we had 3 interviews for friends in my district. I love interviewing people! You get to see all their preparations put into 30 or so minutes. I also get to learn so much about how the Gospel of Jesus Christ can change lives as I sit and listen to many stories!  Wednesday we taught Jamie again along with a couple other friends who I won't mention. Thursday we had more lessons I won't make mention of. But Friday, we had an...
