And It Came To Pass

And it came to pass that I had a good week. This week has been amazing for many reasons. One miracle I saw is while I have been following spiritual promptings. The story goes as follows- During our time on exchanges I was looking to teach an Elder how to receive revelation and so I taught the essentials to understand it and we decided to put it to work in our day starting with a prayer in the morning to find what God wants for us that day! We found several people to teach that day by following the spirit but towards the end of that day we stressed to find one more person the Lord wanted us to find. Many things caused it to be stressful. First we told a family the Lord had someone prepared for us before finding time ended at 8pm so that they could grow in their testimony with us! Second we started to doubt the revelation we received. Third I was trying to show this Elder that Revelation is real. All these stresses continued till 7:53pm till we decided to repent and keep asking God for help to know who to contact. THEN 3 minutes before 8:00pm we texted Josh and he replied saying he would like to hear a message! All was right that night and we got to learn revelation does work and that the family's prayer was answered due to their faith in Jesus Christ. Experiences like this have occurred on several occasions this week and have grown testimonies of Jesus Christ for me and many others. Our prophet President Russell M. Nelson said "Pray in the name of Jesus Christ about your concerns, your fears, your weaknesses—yes, the very longings of your heart. And then listen! Write the thoughts that come to your mind. Record your feelings and follow through with actions that you are prompted to take. As you repeat this process day after day, month after month, year after year, you will “grow into the principle of revelation"". I have followed our prophets' words. I have found an increase of revelation in my life and it has come upon me more than ever. Today I actually recognized someone we needed to find for the Lord from the revelation I recieved. I ignored it and wanted to just go to church and play basketball. Luckily I have good Elders in my apartment. One of them (Elder Dorsett) asked me if I felt like I should find this man and I said yes and so we went up to him and he was ready and prepared by the Lord. He accepted a message and we got his number to set up another time to come by. As missionaries we are called to find, teach The Restored Gospel of Jesus Christ, and baptize. When I follow the spirit it may lead me to different places than you because God needs me to do missionary work. I urge you to find out more about your calling in the church or what God would want you to do for yourself. Pray and ask that He may reveal to you His truth and that you can know that He is real as you follow those promptings. Do this and you will feel good, joy, peace and more. He loves you, more than anything else. I hope we all follow Him and so we all can be brought to that perfect knowledge and happiness together with each other forever.
