I Think The Best Week So Far!

I am so grateful for my companion this week. We did many things that made me a happy happy Elder. To start I'll tell you about him and what he's like. His name is Elder Parker and he's from New Mexico. He has a love for the outdoors and is a faithful Elder. You may be wondering why I am talking about him. Well he has been a blessing to me and taught me something so great! I have always had doubts on the mission about following my spiritual promptings because the Elders I served with in the past have not been so in tune with the spirit and were still discovering how to follow it; so I was scared to be embarrassed about following those promptings because I didn't know what they would think of me if I were to follow them. Heavenly Father suffered me to being led astray for a while till I came to ask Him about my concern so that He could show me that it is from Him that I was being blessed with this great companion who I now have. Jacob 4:7 reads-" Nevertheless, the Lord God showeth us our  weakness that we may know that it is by his  grace, and his great condescensions unto the children of men, that we have power to do these things". I also have learned that we must ASK God in the name of Jesus Christ for answers and blessings in order to know that it is by God that we are receiving blessings. This allows God to reveal to you things when it is in His wisdom. Now we see that you truly have to have faith and works to manifest the works of God in our life to bless us and to know of the real and true fact of these things God has for us. The Brother of Jared in The Book of Mormon has so much faith that Jesus Christ said He can't withhold Himself from showing Himself to The Brother of Jared. But it is only until The Brother of Jared asks, knocks, and seeks Jesus Christ to help Him that Jesus enters into his presence. I have claimed my blessing by asking God to let my works be made blessed by receiving gifts and help in my life and missionary work. This has given me great testimony that God will answer to as you do what you know to be right and ask Him to help you receive whatever it is that you need so that you can accomplish those good things you want and that by that you receive testimony and true witness of God's spirit and love for you. I have a gift and it that gift is my God and your God. He will help you I promise. I would like to testify that I have received many gifts from God that have made His work move forward this week in many ways. I testify of this in the name of Jesus Christ the only begotten son of God our Savior, Redeemer and Exemplar. Amen.
