New Area, New Ward And Conference!
Good morning everyone! I hope you're having a blessed morning. I look forward to sharing some experiences from this week that I've had. I also love to hear from you! I'm going to start with sharing what happend on Thursday and go from there!
Thursday, we got to finally get to our new areas and get new companions! It was an exciting time to see transfer news because I knew I'd love my new companions and also I wouldn't be in leadership anymore, haha. I love leadership and it has been one of the greatest experiences but it is nice now to just worry about finding, teaching and baptizing. I love my new companions- Elder Martinez and Elder Sanders. To speak briefly on Elder Martinez he is from Gilbert AZ and just came out into the field on Tuesday! He is a sharp tool in God's shed. Other things, my area is brand new and hasn't seen missionaries. It is so fun to walk and talk to people to start the work. We've knocked doors, talked with members etc. A few people we've found interested are a guy named Helmet, Debby, Bob, Tim, Mikey and his family, Rick and that's about it.
On to conference and a few other thoughts if I may. This week's conference sessions were all very much true, guiding, and God sent; a few out of many words to describe it. I want to share some things that I learned and hopes I have going forward. First that we cannot live spiritually in today's world without the constant companionship of the Holy Ghost. We need to be baptized, we need to keep Covenants and we need to repent when we make mistakes. God loves us, He is patient with us, nevertheless this is His doctrine, this is His invitation always and as we accept it and live it each day of our lives we can come closer and closer to Him, even so to recieve a sure witness of our salvation. I know that we need The Book of Mormon in our mind and hearts to accomplish following God. The Book of Mormon contains RESTORED truths that if we dont read regularly our restored faith so to say can diminish. I believe and testify as we read and abide by The Book of Mormons precepts everyday that we will be lifted up at the last day. My last thought is that this is all about our beloved Savior Jesus Christ. Without Him none of this is possible. We as members of God's fold don't worship anything contrary to Jesus Christ. I am so glad of heart and mind to share this with you today and pray for you that you mind have the spirit to be with you to guide you.
I love you all and I would not be glad of heart this day if you weren't here with me to experience the joy we have been given and will continue to be given. And I know we could be glad of heart without God. I wish you all the best and I want to leave these things with you in the name of Jesus Christ, amen.
