Consecration
Hi everyone, as always I do hope you are well. I am grateful for you and the friendship we have. I'd love to speak about some great experiences this week and some thoughts about consecration.
First, we got to take our recent convert Helmut Jacky to the House of the Lord, aka the temple. I loved this and being able to help my past ancestors. I knew we were growing a closer bond as I felt the spirit work through me. Helmut described his experience as it being a new world to enter the temple. He also found strength through the peace offered there. He looks forward to learning about the rest of the temple and has a date set for his endowment! This week and last I have been searching for ways to do family history work and yes God answers prayers, some quicker than others! This week my prayer was answered in many ways. I prayed for help with doing family history work. First I got to attend the temple and also I met a guy named Danny! Danny happens to know my great grandpa and grandpa very well. I got to hear some cool stories I hope to add to their family history memories.
Second and maybe last experience I had this week and then I'll get more into consecration. We had a zone conference! It went from 10am to 6pm. It felt like being at school again but with no recess, haha. We did get lunch though! Zone conference was wonderful. Our mission president spoke about how far are we willing to take our faith. He told a great story about knocking on a catholic school to which he was asked to later preach at to everyone there and they were all Jesuah priests! He certainly had the capacity to take his faith far. This taught me a lot. A fun question for you could be, how far are you willing to take your faith? Where does it need strengthening?
Now to share about consecration. I haven't had a specific experience to share to teach about consecration but I have recently thought about this idea of consecration a lot and have felt that I am living and loving it. We all can progress in numerous ways but I know that when we try our best each day the Lord can bless us to be happy throughout the day. I know we can share our desire to God by showing Him that we are willing to worthily make and strive to keep Covenants, then to repent when we mess up. Anyways I hope and have the Faith that I can be consecrated to God no matter where I grew up, the size of my car, the bad friend, whatever it may be. Love you all, have a good week.
