New Area, New Companion, New Goals

Hi everyone, I love you all and miss you. Life is really a big journey. There's so much always going on and I pray that God can influence each of you to feel of His love with whatever struggle you have.

My new area is Hearthwood! Crazy miracles have happened this week. In my second area I put a girl on date named Rocka. Now 7 areas or so later I get to teach her again because she moved here not to long ago. She still hasn't been baptized. She has desires to be still and I would love prayers that I may get that privilege! I love her and it would be amazing to see her obstacles move so she may progress. We've seen many other miracles. I'll share one more. Our friend Nathan that we found yesterday had a spiritual experience the night before we showed up on his door and was amazed all day, then we came by. He knew we were sent by God to share with him everything he needs to know. He is attending our friend Bellas baptism tonight! He is 60+. Somehow I feel like he is my favorite friend I've taught on the mission and I've only visited him once.

My new companion is Elder Caleb Turner. He likes Transformers and Japanese. He is from a little town called Stansbury Park in UT. I get along with him well and the Lord answered my prayers by giving me this Elder.

This week our Zone Leaders set some solid goals with each companionship in our small zone of 16. As a zone we hope to have 30 friends attend the temple tour in the next 5 weeks. Our mission has done a great job at getting the missionaries having missionary success. We have a wonderful mission president.

I miss my old area and areas but God needs me to learn different things. One friend of ours named Sen speaks Vietnamese and struggles with English. She is determined to read through both the Vietnamese Book of Mormon and the English Book of Mormon to better learn her languages. This has been a huge challenge for her but with this struggle of learning English so she can live in our society I know God has done it so she can learn The Book of Mormon teachings and join the church. The spirit has born witness of that to me. I love how Sens experience can teach us that we go through trials for a reason. Our reason for living here is to grow and become like God. May our loving Heavenly Father guide us forevermore. Have a good week and be safe.

Love, Elder Caleb Holt
